The History of Adrian Flux
Founded in 1974, Adrian Flux Insurance started out by providing cover for a Spartan kit car. Within a few years, special policies for cars such as the Hillman Imp and the Ford Capri had joined a range of existing specialist policies for American imports.
In the 80s, Adrian Flux secured its place as the UK’s primary kit car insurance intermediary. It also became the market leader for motorhome, van and pick-up insurance.
Business continued to grow in the 90s. The specialist motorbike team, Bikesure, was added to the brand and specialist cover for 4x4s, military vehicles, Japanese imports and household insurance were successfully introduced.
Adrian Flux later partnered with Herts Insurance to offer specialist VW schemes and more recently acquired Chartwell Insurance which offers niche insurance for those with disability needs. The Adrian Flux brand now comprises Britain’s largest specialist insurance portfolio and enjoys a reputation to match.
